Sketches of Eyemouth

Eyemouth is a small fishing town of about 3500 habitants in Berwickshire in the Scottish Borders. Its name comes from its location at the mouth of the Eye river. Fishing at Eyemouth dates back to the 13th century and the harbour is still active with its colourful fleet.

Moving to Eyemouth has inspired me to draw and try to capture its unique coastal charm, sometimes gritty like the sea can be, but also peaceful, surrounded by spectacular scenery and seemingly suspended in time.
